Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help build workflows, supervise staff, and ensure safe, patient-centered care.

You will work with the Pharmacy Manager and team to optimize medication use, provide counseling, and align with quality standards in a growing program; this PRN role offers flexible hours Mon-Fri, with no weekends.

Qualifications

Pharmacy degree required; pharmacy license in practice state.
Current knowledge of state and federal pharmacy regulations.
Immunization certification if applicable to site needs.

Responsibilities

Review medication orders for interactions and appropriateness; intervene to optimize therapy.
Ensure timely preparation and secure storage of medications; support workflow.
Counsel patients and promote medication education and adherence.
Supervise interns, technicians, and staff; provide clinical guidance.
Identify and address problems in equipment, staffing or patient care.
Suggest process improvements to enhance patient satisfaction and safety.
