Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient clinical pharmacy. We seek a motivated Clinical Pharmacist to support daily operations, shape workflows, and deliver patient-centered care in a growing program.

You will collaborate with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to ensure safe, seamless care and outstanding service, while leading quality initiatives and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations governing pharmacy practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions.
• Oversees and/or ensures timely preparation and delivery of medications to care areas.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes medication education and adherence.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support personnel as required.
• Takes initiative to solve problems including equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies areas for improvement to streamline processes and enhance patient safety; participates in department meetings.
