Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 role in our nephrology care team. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, perform assessments, plan and evaluate care, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians to support dialysis patients.

The position emphasizes safety, patient education, and adherence to policies, with opportunities to advance through CAP requirements and continued professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Assess, collaborate, and document learning needs to provide education to patients and families.
• Direct and provide safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Ensure correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures.
