Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Oakland is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the CAP 1 program, joining the End Stage Kidney Disease care team. You will assess and plan patient care, educate patients and families, and coordinate with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and patient care techs to safely deliver hemodialysis.

The role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, state RN licensure, and CPR/BLS certification, with CAP requirements to advance.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience is preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient data during dialysis and adjust the plan of care as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
