Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an Outpatient Therapist to support Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs. The role includes clinical and administrative duties such as assessments, discharge planning, and therapy for patients in a psychiatric setting.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field, CA licensure (LCSW/LMFT/ACSW/AMFT), and CPI/CPR training. Outpatient experience is highly preferred, with strong crisis intervention and assessment

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or a clinical related mental health field is required.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a psychiatric health care facility with direct experience in family and group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; outpatient experience highly preferred.
• licensure in the state of CA as an LCSW, LMFT, or ACSW or AMFT is required.
• CPR certification and CPI training (CPI training may be obtained during new hire orientation).

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and clinical support for day-to-day operations of Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient programs.
• Coordinate processes for patient care and records; ensure infection control, safety, and risk management policies are followed.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and provide group and individual therapies; coordinate with case management for timely, quality care.
• Maintain communication between staff, physicians, patients, families, and other departments; participate in meetings and program improvement activities.
