Job summary

Tufts Medicine seeks a clinical support professional to help ensure smooth outpatient patient flow and assist providers during visits. You will prepare rooms, collect vitals, document data, and support billing and clinical operations while maintaining a high standard of patient care.

The role requires a high school diploma, clinical training or experience, and BLS eligibility. Strong customer service, communication, and familiarity with Epic EMR are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Clinical Program or 6 months clinical experience in healthcare preferred.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Controls and monitors patient flow to maximize efficient use of providers and exam rooms.
• Prepares medical records for patient visits and confirms accuracy with patient identifiers.
• Provides a safe, comfortable environment and maintains patient privacy and safety.
• Assists and/or chaperones providers during exams and procedures as needed.
• Performs and records vital signs including BP, pulse, temp, O2 sat, height and weight.
• Performs specimen collection and prepares supplies for provider use.
• Performs Point of Care Testing (POC) as ordered.
• Supports billing by ensuring CPT and diagnosis codes are properly documented.
• Manages clinical supplies, restocks, and tracks inventory daily.
