Job summary

Tufts Medicine is seeking a nursing support professional to provide basic and clinical assistance under physician orders. The role emphasizes patient flow, documentation, and collaboration with nurses and physicians in an outpatient/ambulatory setting.

Minimum qualifications include completing a MA education program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES and CPR certification. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Completed MA education from a CAAHEP- or ABHES-accredited program.
• CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient flow to maximize provider and exam room efficiency.
• Prepare and verify patient medical records with accurate identifiers.
• Provide high-level customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Assist with admitting patients and smooth transition to inpatient units.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and support provider visits; ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Support with vitals, documentation, and basic data entry for visits.
• Assist with specimen collection and point-of-care testing as required.
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations as requested by the provider.
