Job summary

SimonMed seeks an experienced Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, in a fast-paced outpatient setting. You will ensure precise positioning, optimal compression, and high-quality imaging while communicating clearly with anxious or in-pain patients.

You will maintain ARRT/MQSA standards, state licensure, BLS, and regular CEUs, and mentor students as part of a collaborative team focused on early detection and patient care.

Qualifications

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography including tomosynthesis per standards (ACR/MQSA).
• Positioning accuracy and optimal compression with ALARA principles.
• Proficient with digital mammography equipment, RIS, and PACS.
• Maintain ARRT certification, state license, BLS, and MQSA 15 breast CEUs every 3 years.
• Initial training, tomosynthesis training, and digital training records current.
• Manage own workflow in a busy outpatient environment and adapt to schedule changes.
• Mentor students rotating through clinicals and uphold professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography including tomosynthesis.
• Ensure correct positioning, compression, and exposure parameters with image QA.
• Maintain documentation and compare with prior imaging as needed.
• Communicate with patients to minimize anxiety and explain procedures.
• Keep equipment in good working order and participate in QA activities.
• Provide hands-on guidance to students and promote clinical excellence.
