Job summary

SimonMed Imaging is seeking a Mammography Technologist focused on screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, in a patient-centered outpatient setting. You will ensure high image quality, maintain QA, and support a collaborative team while mentoring students and upholding MQSA standards.

The role emphasizes comfort for anxious patients, precise positioning, and adherence to ACR/MQSA protocols, with opportunities to grow within a national imaging network.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
• ARRT mammography (M) certification required.
• Valid state radiologic technologist license
• Current BLS certification
• MQSA compliant — 15 breast CEUs every 3 years
• Initial mammography training documentation complete
• Tomosynthesis and digital training documentation current
• 1+ year of mammography experience preferred
• Proficiency in digital/tomosynthesis equipment, RIS, and PACS
• Strong patient communication skills — especially in sensitive situations
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography including tomosynthesis.
• Ensure exams meet clinical standards with patient-centered care.
• Maintain QA, manage workflow, and equipment maintenance.
• Mentor students and provide hands‑on guidance.
• Communicate effectively to ease patient anxiety while preserving image quality.
