Job summary

SimonMed seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, including tomosynthesis, with precision and compassionate patient care. You will ensure image quality, comply with MQSA/ACR standards, and document thoroughly in RIS/PACS while mentoring rotating students.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, adherence to certifications, and ongoing training to maintain high clinical standards in an outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• ARRT Radiography (R) certification and ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
• Active state radiologic technologist license where applicable; current BLS.
• MQSA compliance with 15 breast CEUs every 3 years; proper documentation and training records.
• Tomosynthesis and digital training documentation current; initial training completed.
• 1+ year of mammography experience preferred; proficiency with digital/tomosynthesis equipment, RIS, and PACS.
• Strong patient communication skills; ability to explain procedures with empathy and professionalism.
• Detail-oriented, organized, able to work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting.
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography including tomosynthesis per ACR/MQSA protocols.
• Ensure accurate positioning, optimal compression, and image quality before proceeding.
• Maintain QA, equipment readiness, and compliance with MQSA/ACR standards.
• Document thoroughly in RIS/PACS and ensure accurate labeling.
• Provide mentorship and professional guidance to students rotating through the department.
