Job summary

Joseph Michaels International seeks a Medical Director with an Infectious Disease specialty for our outpatient clinic in St. Augustine, FL. This on-site role focuses on high-quality primary care with no night shifts or weekend work.

Requirements include MD/DO with an active medical license, valid DEA and Furnishing license; outpatient experience; board certification preferred. Expect 14–18 patient visits per day, competitive compensation, and a robust benefits package.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with an active state medical license.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Board certification preferred ( Infectious Disease can be advantageous).
• Valid DEA registration and Furnishing license.

Responsibilities

• Manage a minimum of 14–18 patients per day in an outpatient setting.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity targets.
• Complete documentation the same day or within 72 hours with accurate E/M codes.
• Provide primary care for chronic and acute conditions.
• Supervise mid-level providers (PAs and NPs).
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Reserve 4 hours of protected administrative time weekly for physicians.
