Job summary

Joseph Michaels International is seeking a Physician specializing in Infectious Disease for an outpatient facility in St. Augustine, FL. The role emphasizes patient care without night shifts or weekends, with a focus on productivity and collaboration within a fully staffed team.

Qualifications include MD or DO with active license, valid DEA and Furnishing license, and experience in outpatient primary care. Expect 14–18 patients per day and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have MD or DO with an active, state-appropriate medical license.
• Must have valid DEA registration and Furnishing License.
• Outpatient primary care experience required.
• Ability to manage 14–18 patients daily in a supported environment.
• Must have active CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care and meet productivity standards.
• Oversee patient scheduling to minimize no-shows and meet productivity benchmarks.
• Document visits the same day or within 72 hours, including accurate E/M billing codes.
• Deliver primary care for chronic conditions and acute issues.
• Collaborate with front desk, care coordinators, and nursing staff for urgent care and walk-ins.
• Review consultant reports, imaging, and lab results promptly.
• Process prescription renewals within 72 hours.
• Monitor and respond to voicemails/emails daily.
• Support patient retention efforts with retention summaries.
• Supervise mid-level providers with chart reviews or audits as required.
• Provide after-hours on-call coverage as assigned.
• Full-time physicians receive 4 hours of protected admin time weekly.
