Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN license in the state of employment.
• Current or successful completion of CPR/BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.
• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Perform ongoing collection and analysis of patient data during hemodialysis and document in the medical record; adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and transplantation options; collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Direct and provide safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy and assist with medication administration as prescribed.
• Participate in staff training and ensure compliance with policy and regulatory standards.
