Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 in Mount Pleasant, SC. This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.

You will work under supervision with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, document in the patient medical record, and participate in staff training. CAP requirements must be completed to advance.

Qualifications

• RN licensure and a Nursing degree are required.
• CPR/BLS certification and ongoing licensure compliance.
• Entry-level RN with intent to advance through CAP.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis and document in the medical record.
• Assess and document patient/family education needs and provide ongoing education.
• Direct and coordinate daily dialysis care with the care team to ensure safe delivery.
• Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
• Initiate emergency response measures when needed and participate in staff training.
