Job summary

Ensource RCM is seeking a skilled medical coder to join a nationwide remote team focused on Ambulatory Surgery coding. You will review hospital records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT procedures, ensuring adherence to guidelines and high-quality output.

The ideal candidate holds CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC credentials with facility coding experience and is based in the United States. Epic experience is a plus, and a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• Must hold one of the AHIMA/AAPC coding credentials (CCS, RHIA, RHIT or CPC).
• Facility coding experience with hospital records is required.
• Familiarity with ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines is essential.
• Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital medical records for Ambulatory Surgery patients and assign diagnoses/procedures per ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines.
• Maintain high quality and productivity standards in coding services.
• Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to meet client needs.
• Maintain active coding certifications and pursue continuing education.

Extensive knowledge of disease pathology as well as interpretation/understanding of detailed procedure note documentation is required for this position.
