Job summary

Ensource RCM is seeking an Outpatient Facility Observation Coding Specialist to join our remote team. You will review hospital medical records for medical and surgical Observation cases and assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT codes in line with Official Coding Guidelines.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of facility coding experience, AHIMA or AAPC credentials, and is eligible to work in the United States. Epic experience is a plus and ongoing education is supported.

Qualifications

• Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA or CPC through AAPC coding credentials are required.
• 3+ years of relevant facility coding experience.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet and workstation.
• Epic experience is a plus.
• Candidates must reside within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital medical records for medical and surgical Observation patients and assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT codes.
• Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards.
• Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to address client needs.
• Maintain active coding certifications and complete continuing education.
