Job summary

Ensource RCM seeks a skilled full-time Professional Fee (Profee) Coding Specialist with General Surgery experience to join our remote team nationwide. You will review professional records, assign CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS codes, interpret operative reports, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines while meeting productivity and quality standards.

A current CPC/CCS-P certification is required, along with 2+ years of General Surgery coding experience, and the ability to work independently in a

• Minimum 2 years of professional fee medical coding in General Surgery.
• Current coding certification CPC/CCS-P or equivalent required.
• Knowledge CPT/ICD-10-CM/HCPCS and surgical coding guidelines.
• Experience interpreting operative reports and complex clinical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Review and code General Surgery professional fee medical records (operative reports, docs).
• Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS codes per guidelines and payer requirements.
• Apply knowledge of surgical procedures, modifiers, and E/M services.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with coding standards.
• Identify documentation gaps and query through established processes.
• Meet productivity and quality standards; stay current on coding updates.
