Job summary

Ensource is seeking a Facility Outpatient Coding Specialist for a fully remote, full-time role in the United States. You will review hospital OBS and Ambulatory Surgery records, ensuring accurate coding and adherence to quality standards while collaborating with inpatient coders and managers.

The role requires current AHIMA/AAPC credentials and 3+ years of relevant experience, with Epic experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA or CPC through AAPC coding credentials are required.
• 3+ years OBS and ambulatory surgery facility coding experience.
• Access to high-speed internet and workstation; Epic experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital OP facility OBS and Ambulatory Surgery medical records and properly code the charts.
• Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards to provide exceptional coding services to our clients.
• Communicate and collaborate with inpatient coders and managers to address the dynamic needs of our clients.
• Maintain active coding certifications and complete continuing education to maintain expertise.
