Job summary

Ensource RCM is seeking a detail-oriented medical coder with expertise in professional fee anesthesia and cardiology to join our remote team. You will review records, assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes, and ensure documentation supports coding decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional fee coding in anesthesia and cardiology.
• Current medical coding certification such as CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10-CM, HCPCS and payer guidelines.
• Ability to review records, ensure accuracy, and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review and accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS codes for professional fee anesthesia and cardiology services.
• Apply current coding guidelines, payer policies, and documentation requirements to ensure coding accuracy and compliance.
• Review medical records to validate code assignment, medical necessity, and documentation.
• Identify documentation discrepancies and opportunities for improved coding accuracy.
• Meet established productivity and quality standards with high attention to detail.
• Stay current with coding updates, regulatory changes, and specialty guidelines.
