Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Richmond, VA seeks an entry level Registered Nurse CAP 1 for the Clinical Advancement Program. The role focuses on assessing, planning, intervening and evaluating care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis.

You will work under supervision and collaborate with RNs, LPNs/LVNs and technicians. Responsibilities include patient education, documentation, and contributing to quality improvement initiatives while meeting CAP requirements to advance

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed RN.
Current CPR/BLS certification and state licensure.
Capable of basic patient education and collaboration with the care team.

Responsibilities

Provide and coordinate clinically competent nursing care for assigned patients.
Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient care with an interdisciplinary team.
Educate patients and families on care plans and transplant options.
Supervise and/or collaborate with Patient Care Technicians and LPNs/LVNs.
Document nursing assessments, treatments and responses in the medical record.
