Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1) in an outpatient dialysis setting in Portsmouth, VA. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care during dialysis, assess patients, plan, implement, and evaluate care, collaborating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and technicians to support patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data during dialysis and document in the medical record.
• Educate patient and family on learning needs and plan of care.
• Provide safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document justification.
• Participate in emergencies and quality improvement activities.
