Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to join the Clinical Advancement Program in outpatient nephrology care. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for an assigned patient group, coordinating with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians to ensure quality dialysis treatment.

The role emphasizes education, documentation, and collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team to optimize patient outcomes in a hospital-based dialysis setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis and document in medical record.
• Provide patient and family education on care plans and treatments.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved protocols and document rationale.
• Direct and deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Participate in emergencies and quality improvement activities as needed.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to update nursing assessment and plan of care.
