Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level professional registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 role within the Clinical Advancement Program. The position focuses on assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for dialysis patients, including delegation and coordination with other care staff.

The RN will participate in education, quality improvement activities, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes and facility operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state RN licensure.
• CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients during hemodialysis.
• Documents data in the patient medical record and communicates with team members and physicians as needed.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and documents effectiveness.
• Provides patient/family education and supports learning needs.
• Directs safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with care staff.
• Participates in emergency response measures and clinical education activities.
