Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in State College, PA is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Outpatient RN CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients undergoing hemodialysis, under supervision.

The role involves assessment, planning, documentation, education for patients and families, and collaboration with the team to ensure safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure to practice as an RN.
• Current CPR/BLS Certification.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in Nephrology Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess and document patient data during dialysis and adjust care plans as needed.
• Coordinate with RNs, LPNs/LVNs, and PCTs to deliver safe hemodialysis.
• Educate patients and families about treatment, procedures, and lifestyle changes.
• Administer prescribed medications and document effectiveness.
• Assist with emergency responses and uphold quality and safety standards.
