Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 track. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care, assess patients, plan care, and participate in decision-making with the ESKD team.

As a CAP 1 RN, you will work under supervision, document data during hemodialysis, educate patients and families, and support daily dialysis care while advancing through CAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and licensed in the state.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• RN with experience or exposure to nephrology/hemodialysis settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs data collection and analysis during hemodialysis sessions and documents in the medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Directs and participates in safe, effective delivery of hemodialysis under supervision.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per protocol and documents effectiveness.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to update assessments and plans of care.
