Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Southington, CT seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse CAP 1 to join the outpatient dialysis team. You will assess patients, plan care, administer medications, and coordinate with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and technicians under supervision.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will participate in education, quality improvement, and CAP advancement while delivering safe, effective hemodialysis care and supporting transplantation discussions.

Qualifications

• RN license in the applicable state is required.
• CPR/BLS certification current or active.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients.
• Document patient data, adjust treatment plans, and communicate with team leaders and physicians.
• Educate patients and families about learning needs and treatment options.
• Direct and supervise daily delivery of hemodialysis therapy with other care staff.
• Administer medications as prescribed and participate in emergency response when needed.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state licensure

CPR/BLS certification
