Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 track, within the Clinical Advancement Program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation, with collaboration from RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Techs.

As an ESKD care team member, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze patient data pre–, during– and post-hemodialysis and document in the medical record, adjusting the plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and provide ongoing education.
• Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms and document actions.
• Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
• Serve as a resource and participate in staff training and orientation.

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
