Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level professional registered nurse (CAP 1) for outpatient dialysis care. The role includes assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group, with collaboration across RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.

The RN will participate in health care team decision-making, teaching, and quality improvement activities to enhance patient outcomes and facility operations. CAP requirements to advance are part of the program.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Hemodialysis experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and coordinates care for assigned patients.
• Documents patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis.
• Educates patients and families on care plans and treatment options.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with staff collaboration.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiates emergency response measures as needed.
• Participates in staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and shipping.
