Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care CH01 CHE, through the CAP program, seeks an entry level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group during hemodialysis. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate patient needs under supervision.

The role includes delegation to patient care staff, education for patients and families, safe delivery of therapy, medication administration, and participation in teaching, quality improvement and emergency response

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs patient data collection and analysis during hemodialysis, adjusts treatment plan as indicated.
• Educates patients and families on care needs and treatment options.
• Administers medications as prescribed or via approved algorithms.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy and responds to emergencies.
• Provides staff training and supports new staff orientation.
