Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care seeks an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate hemodialysis patient care, document assessments, and adjust care plans under supervision. Education of patients and families is expected, along with medication administration and adherence to facility protocols.

The role involves teamwork with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians, with CAP requirements to advance. A state RN license and CPR/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Entry level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Dialysis experience is preferred but not required.
• Must be eligible for RN licensure in the employing state.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients during hemodialysis.
• Document data in the patient record and adjust the treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatment options.
• Administer medications per approved protocols and document effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the care team and participate in staff training and orientation.
