Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Carmel, Indiana is seeking an entry-level professional registered nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 role as part of the Clinical Advancement Program. The position focuses on assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of care for an assigned patient group in a dialysis setting.

The role includes collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and patient care technicians, provision of education, safe delivery of hemodialysis therapy, and participation in quality improvement

Qualifications

• RN with a background in nephrology nursing or dialysis preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and valid state licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing duties under supervision and guidance of the Supervisor or Clinical Educator.
• Collect and analyze patient data during pre-, intra-, and post-dialysis, update plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care and treatment options.
