Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Ohio is seeking an entry-level Outpatient RN CAP 1 to join the Clinical Advancement Program, responsible for coordinating and delivering clinically competent care to a defined patient group.

The role involves assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation within a dialysis setting, with partnership across the care team and participation in quality improvement activities. Strong nursing licensure and CPR/BLS certification are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from nursing leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; adjusts care as needed.
• Educates patients and families on learning needs related to treatment.
• Delivers safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with other care staff.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Initiates or assists with emergency response measures.
• Serves as a resource for staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and shipping.
