Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 role. This position provides and coordinates clinically competent care, including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned patient group within the End Stage Kidney Disease care team.

The CAP1 role involves collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, ongoing patient education, and participation in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a registered nurse.
• CPR BLS certification required or current.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
• Perform ongoing data collection and analysis of patient data during dialysis sessions and adjust care plan as needed.
• Educate patients and family about treatment, transplant options, and care plans.
• Supervise and collaborate with nurses, LVN/LPNs and patient care techs in daily dialysis care.
