Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Professional Registered Nurse for the Outpatient RN CAP 1 designation within the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). The role entails coordinating and delivering nephrology care, including assessment, planning, and evaluation for assigned patients undergoing hemodialysis.

You will collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, provide education, and participate in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
Current appropriate state licensure.
Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
Must meet the practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

Provide assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
Coordinate care with RNs, LVN/LPNs, and Patient Care Technicians.
Educate patients and families on learning needs.
Deliver safe and effective hemodialysis therapy and document plans.
Administer medications per protocol and document effectiveness.
Initiate or assist with emergency response measures.
Serve as a resource and participate in staff training.
Ensure proper laboratory collection, processing and shipping.
