Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in Port Royal, SC seeks an entry level Registered Nurse for its Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1). This role provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, with opportunities to lead and teach as part of the ESKD care team.

You will perform nursing assessments, plan, intervene and evaluate care, document data, and collaborate with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which employed.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients.
• Assesses, plans, intervenes and evaluates patient care in collaboration with the care team.
• Documents patient data and updates the nursing plan of care.
• Administers medications as prescribed or per approved algorithms.
• Delivers education to patients and families and participates in staff training.

Skills

RN experience minimum

Dialysis experience (preferred)

Education

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Current state nursing licensure

CPR/BLS certification
