Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will coordinate and provide nephrology care during hemodialysis, participate in education, leadership, and quality improvement activities within the ESKD care team.

Responsibilities include data collection, treatment planning, medication administration, and collaboration with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and patient care techs. CAP requirements must be completed to advance in the program.

Qualifications

• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and state licensure required.
• CPR BLS certification and compliance with state practice requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform data collection and analysis during hemodialysis and adjust treatment plan as needed.
• Educate patients and families on learning needs and provide ongoing education.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis care in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications per approved algorithms and document results.
