Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP1 program. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for an assigned group of nephrology patients undergoing hemodialysis, under supervision.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease team, you will collaborate with RN, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, support quality improvement, and advance through CAP requirements to grow into a clinical leadership role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed.
• Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assesses and documents patient data; adjusts treatment plan with team guidance.
• Provides safe hemodialysis therapy and monitors patient response.
• Educates patient and family on learning needs and care plans.
• Administers prescribed medications and documents effectiveness.
• Directs daily care with RNs, LVNs/LPNs, and technicians.
• Participates in staff training and quality improvement activities.
