Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP program to deliver and coordinate nephrology care during hemodialysis. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate patient care with the clinical team, including delegation as appropriate.

The role requires nursing licensure, graduation from an accredited nursing program, and basic CPR/BLS certification. Prior nephrology experience is preferred but not required, with CAP advancement possible through

Qualifications

• RN license in the applicable state is required.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Entry level RN with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform core nursing functions under supervision with guidance from Educator, Preceptor, or other RNs.
• Collect and analyze patient data around hemodialysis sessions and adjust care plan.
• Educate patients and families about care plans.
• Provide safe, effective dialysis treatment with the team.
• Administer medications as prescribed or per protocol and document outcomes.
• Respond to emergencies and escalate as needed.
• Assist with staff training and orientation.
• Ensure proper lab collection and processing and reschedule as needed.
• Document nursing assessments and plans with the interdisciplinary team.
