Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care in the United States is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP 1 program. You will provide and coordinate clinically competent care for an assigned patient group, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Working within the ESKD care team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities. You may supervise other staff and must complete CAP requirements to advance in the program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state licensure.
• Current or successful CPR BLS Certification.
• Must meet practice requirements in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential nursing functions under supervision and guidance.
• Collects and analyzes patient data before, during, and after hemodialysis; documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and self-management.
• Delivers safe and effective hemodialysis therapy with the care team.
• Administers medications as prescribed and monitors effectiveness.
• Initiates emergency response when needed.
• Acts as a resource and supports staff training and orientation.
• Ensures proper lab collection, processing, and shipping.
