Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse (CAP 1) to support an End Stage Kidney Disease care team in an outpatient setting. You will participate in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for a defined patient group and may delegate tasks to RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians.

As a member of the ESKD care team, you will engage in teaching, leadership, and quality improvement activities while advancing through the Clinical Advancement Program.

Qualifications

• RN entry level with less than 2 years of nephrology nursing experience.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; current state licensure; CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Document data collection and adjust treatment plans as needed in the medical record.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and dialysis processes.
• Deliver safe hemodialysis therapy in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications per prescribed protocols and respond to emergencies.
