Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse for the Outpatient CAP1 program. The nurse provides and coordinates clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients in a dialysis setting.

The role requires collaboration with RNs, LVN/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians, with supervision from the Clinical Educator or Team Leader. CPR/BLS certification and state RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current appropriate state RN licensure.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments, planning, interventions and evaluation for assigned outpatients under supervision.
• Document data collection and nursing plans in patient records; adjust treatment as needed.
• Educate patients and families about care, transplant options, and treatment modalities.
• Administer medications as prescribed and document effectiveness.
• Participate in team-based decision making and quality improvement activities.
