The role requires 2+ years outpatient coding, RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/ CCS-P credentials, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT Official Guidelines for Coding and Reporting.
• Experience with outpatient coding and professional services coding.
• Familiarity with 3M-360 Computer Assisted Coding and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPCS and modifiers.
• Abstract data into the coding system and ensure proper APC assignment.
• Educate providers and participate in departmental education activities.
• Audit charges and provide feedback to providers; ensure compliance.
