Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPC outpatient coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of coding guidelines and documentation requirements.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and coding abstracts.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPC codes and modifiers.
• Abstract data for coding abstracts and APC assignment.
• Apply official guidelines and coding clinic guidance to records.
• Sequence codes for accurate APC determination.
• Participate in training, audits, and quality reviews.
• Educate providers on coding updates and respond to questions.
• Review rejected claims and provide feedback for corrections.
