Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking an Outpatient Coder to join our growing coding team. Under the Outpatient Coding Manager, you will review records, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPC codes and modifiers, and ensure accurate APC assignment to support timely, compliant billing.

You will collaborate with Coding leadership, participate in ongoing education, and help maintain high-quality coding standards across outpatient services.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or coding certification required.
• Professional coding credentials preferred.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM and CPT/HCPC coding.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient records and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT/HCPC codes and modifiers.
• Ensure correct APC assignment and coding accuracy per guidelines.
• Conduct provider education and participate in audits and reviews.
• Collaborate with Coding leadership to maintain consistency and quality.
