Job summary

Intermountain Health’s St. Marys Regional Hospital is launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Grand Junction, Colorado.

We seek an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help shape workflows, support the Pharmacy Manager, and partner with pharmacists and technicians to deliver safe, patient-centered care. The role emphasizes daily operations, process improvements, and evolving pharmacy services in a collaborative, fast-changing environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Effective communication, people management, and project management skills.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergy interactions, duplication of therapy, appropriateness of drug therapy, and drug-drug interactions; makes evidence-based interventions to optimize medication use.
• Oversees and/or participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely to care areas and stored securely for stability and workflow.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes quality medication education and adherence; ensures patients are well informed and receive professional service.
• Supervises and directs interns, technicians, and staff; provides clinical consultation and clarification to other health professionals.
• Takes initiative to solve problems including equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies areas for improvement to streamline processes and enhance patient satisfaction; participates in departmental meetings with ideas and feedback
