Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado, is launching a new outpatient pharmacy and seeks an Outpatient Clinical Pharmacist to help build workflows, ensure safe patient care, and deliver high-quality pharmaceutical services.

You will support the Pharmacy Manager and team, supervise interns and technicians, provide patient counseling, and adapt to evolving processes in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD/Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school.
• Current license to practice in the state and dispense controlled substances.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations; immunization certification if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergies, duplications, therapy appropriateness, and interactions.
• Ensures medications are prepared, delivered timely, securely stored, and workflow-efficient.
• Counsels patients to promote education, adherence, and quality service.
• Supervises interns/technicians and provides clinical guidance to the care team.
• Identifies issues and drives problem-solving for equipment, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Suggests workflow improvements to boost patient satisfaction and safety.
