Job summary

Intermountain Health St. Mary's Regional Hospital is launching a new outpatient pharmacy in Grand Junction, Colorado. We seek an engaged Clinical Pharmacist to support daily operations, shape workflows, and deliver high-quality patient care in a growing program.

You will partner with the Pharmacy Manager, pharmacists, and technicians to ensure safe, seamless, and patient-centered care, while contributing to a dynamic team and evolving service.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy or BS in Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution (education verified).
• License to practice pharmacy in the state of practice and dispense controlled substances.
• Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy in the state of practice.
• Immunization certification if applicable to practice site needs

Responsibilities

• Reviews patients' medication orders for allergies, duplicate therapy, appropriateness, and interactions; makes evidence-based interventions.
• Oversees and/or participates in ensuring medications are prepared and delivered timely, securely, and suitable for workflow.
• Provides counseling to patients and promotes medication education and adherence.
• Supervises interns, technicians, and support staff; provides clinical consultation to health professionals.
• Takes initiative to solve problems related to equipment, maintenance, drug availability, staffing, and patient care concerns.
• Identifies improvement opportunities to streamline processes and enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
