Job summary

ArborMetrics Solutions seeks a Work Planner to join our outdoor field team. You will float between Alma and Clare, MI, driving between sites, inspecting vegetation, and recording data with tablets and GIS tools. The role emphasizes safety, independent work, and strong communication with customers and leaders.

The position offers field-based responsibilities, ongoing training, and opportunities for industry certifications. Local travel within 45 minutes of Alma or Clare is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with vegetation management and field safety best practices.
• Ability to work independently in outdoor settings and manage data collection.
• Familiarity with GIS and tablet-based data entry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way up to 10 miles daily.
• Inspect and document vegetation work and data entry in systems.
• Communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, and the public.
• Participate in emergency response duties as needed.
