ArborMetrics Solutions, LLC is seeking a Work Planner to join our vegetation management team. The role involves outdoor field work, data entry with GIS and tablet software, and coordination with customers and leadership across Alma and Clare, MI.

The candidate should be comfortable working independently, in varying weather, and capable of driving long hours. A focus on safety, accuracy and effective communication is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/ walk ROWs and drive for extended periods.
• Knowledgeable about Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.
• Must be able to work alone, outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
• Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, strong problem solving and multi-tasking abilities and show attention to detail.
• Must be able to adapt to change.

Responsabilités

• Identify and report safety hazards and unsafe conditions.
• Follow AMS safety standards and driving protocols.
• Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way; inspect vegetation work and document data.
• Record vegetation data using tablets and specialized software; use forestry computer systems for data entry.
• Address customer concerns and communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners and the public.
• Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
