ArborMetrics Solutions in Hamilton, MI is seeking a Work Planner who enjoys outdoor work, values independence, and thrives in a fast-paced vegetation management environment. You will contribute to safety, quality, and efficient field operations.

You will drive to sites, inspect vegetation, and record data on tablets while coordinating with leadership and clients. This position floats between Alma and Clare, MI, and requires living within 45 minutes of either location.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/walk Right-of-Ways (ROW's) and drive for extended periods of time.
• Knowledgeable about Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions; follow AMS safety standards; promote AMS values.
• Field Operations: Safely drive to work sites, inspect vegetation work, record data, use forestry computer systems for data entry.
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: Address customer concerns; communicate with leadership, auditors, clients, contractors, landowners, and the public.
• Emergency Response & Other Responsibilities: Participate in storm and emergency response duties; carry out additional duties as assigned.
